You can add text to your photo.

Steps

To add text on a photo

  1. Open the photo you want to add text.
  2. Click Make > Text or the Text icon on Tool Box.
    If the Text window does not appear, click Window > Options.
  3. In the Text window, specify the font type, font color, font size, alignment, and other properties.
  4. Click on the place where you want to add text.
  5. Type text.

To change text color

  1. Double click on the text to select it.
  2. In the Text window, double click on the color selection under Color.
  3. In the Color Picker dialog box, select the desired color from the spectrum or specify the color value.
  4. Click OK.

To move the text location

  1. Click the Transform icon on Tool Box.
  2. Click and hold the text you and move to the desired place.
  3. Release the mouse on the place you want to relocate the text.

To warp text with arc shape

  1. Type the text.

  2. In the Text window, click the Unfold Expand icon on TextWarp.
  3. Select Arc Lower or the desired shape from the Style list.
  4. Drag the slider bar under Bend, Horiz Distortion or Vert Distorion to adjust the degree of the distortion.

The following menus are available.

Icon Name Description
Font Select the font type from the list.
Font Size Specify the font size. The unit is point (pt).
Bold Make the font thicker.
Italic Tilt the letters.
Color Specify the desired font color.
Kerning Adjust spacing between each letter.
Line Spacing Adjust spacing between each line.
Left Align the text at the left side.
Center Align the text at the center
Right Align the text at the right side.
Left to Right Type text from left to right. This direction is good for the LTR languages such as English, Spanish, and Korean.
If you type Foxit Software Inc., المنتج, Foxit Studio Photo in order, Foxit Software Inc.المنتجFoxit Studio Photo is added on the photo.
Right to Left Type text from right to left. This direction is good for the RTL languages such as Arabic and Farsi.

Character Input Enter characters.
Transform Deform the shape of space occupied by text strings. The selected text string will be displayed as a rectangle that has a small rectangle at the edge. Drag your mouse on this small rectangle to change the shape of the space and the shape of the text as well. While working on fonts, press CTRL to switch to Deform.
Insert Point Add a deform point to a desired location. While working on fonts, press CTRL+SHIFT to switch to the Insert Point status.
Delete Point Delete unnecessary deform points. While working on fonts, press CTRL+ALT to switch to the Delete Point status.
Reset Cancel the deform action.
TextWarp Warp text using a shape such as Arc, Arch, Flag, etc. By adjusting the values of bending or distortion, you can warp text as you desire.
  • Style: Select a shape from the 12-style list. If you select None, all properties of text warp are removed.
  • Horizontal: Warp text based on the horizontal axis. The range of the values is between -100 and 100.
    For example, if text with the Flag style is bent by '15' horizontally, text looks like a waving Text warpped horizon flag in horizon.
  • Vertical: Warp text based on the vertical axis. The range of the values is between -100 and 100.
    For example, if text with the Flag style is bent by '15' vertically, text looks like a waving Text warpped vertical flag in vertical. If the value is set to '100' to be bent, a waving Text warpped vertical flag appears more dynamically.
  • Bend: Specify the value between -100 and 100 to bend the shape of text. The degree of the text warp varies depending on the style, font type, and font size.
  • Horiz Distortion: Specify the value between -100 and 100 to distort the shape of text based on the horizontal axis. The degree of the text warp varies depending on the style, font type, and font size.
  • Vert Distortion: Specify the value between -100 and 100 to distort the shape of text based on the vertical axis. The degree of the text warp varies depending on the style, font type, and font size.
