Define Pattern <Ctrl+Shift+P>

You can create a new photo file as a pattern. The maximum number of characters in a pattern name is 255.

Steps

To define a pattern

1. Click the Select Tool icon on Tool Box.
2. Drag the mouse on the photo to select an area where you want to define as a pattern.
3. Click Edit > Define Pattern.
4. In the Define Pattern dialog box, enter a pattern name and then click OK.

To apply a user-defined pattern

1. Click the Select Tool icon on Tool Box.
2. Drag the mouse on the photo to select an area where you want to fill with a pattern.
3. Click Edit > Fill.
4. In the Fill dialog box, select Pattern from Use under Contents.
5. Select the defined pattern from Custom Pattern which is enabled when Pattern from Use is selected.
6. Click OK.

Preview

You can preview how the selected area will be registered as a user-defined pattern.

Pattern Name

You can enter a unique pattern name.
