Batch
You can adjust the photo size, file format, profile, and other properties simultaneously. After processing works on all the photo files in a single folder, photo files are saved to the designated folder.
Steps
To change file format en block
- Click File > Batch to open the Batch dialog box.
- Under Folder and File Management, specify the source folder in Source Folder to perform the batch job and specify the target folder in Destination Folder to save the files that the batch job have done.
- Under Folder and File Management, select the source file format from Source File Format and select the target file format from Destination File Format.
- Click Start.
- Open the target folder that you have specified in Destination Folder under Folder and File Management and check whether the file format has been changed.

Setting
- Setting name: Enter the name for the customized setting.
- Save Setting: Save the current settings to a file with the name defined in Setting name.
- Delete Setting: Delete the file currently displayed in Setting name.
Folder and File Management
- Source Folder: Set the folder containing photo files to perform the batch job. Click Folder to navigate a desired folder.
- Destination Folder: Set the folder to save photo files resulting from the batch job. Click Folder to navigate a desired folder.
- Source File Format: Set the format of the files in the folder. You can select JPG, TIFF, or All.
- Destination File Format: Set the file format to save photo files resulting from the batch job. You can select JPG, TIFF, or EPS.
- Naming Rule: Set the naming rule for a photo file created as the result of the batch job. You can add a color mode next to the original filename or add a number to it.
- Start Number: Set the starting number when you select the ‘SOURCENAME_NUMBER’ item in Naming Rule.
Resize
- Portrait photo type: Set either width or height. To maintain consistent proportions with the original photo, if you set either width or height, the other will be automatically set.
- Landscape photo type: Set either width or height. To maintain consistent proportions with the original photo, if you set either width or height, the other will be automatically set.
- link: Adjust the size of landscape and portrait photo to the same size. If you adjust the width of a landscape photo, its height will also be changed. If you adjust the height of a portrait photo, its width will also be changed. You can set either width or height, and the other will be set automatically.
- Fixed DPI: Set the photo resolution.
Profile Conversion
You can convert the photo color by using the ICC profile and the color engine.
Photos with RGB Color Profile can be done with the Batch job. Photos with CMYK or Grayscale Color Profiles will be duplicated to the target folder to complete the Batch job.
- Source Profile: Set the ICC Profile used as the photo color area. You can use the camera’s ICC Profile or the standard RGB ICC Profile.
- Destination Profile: Set the ICC Profile used as the color area of target subject to color conversion. If you need to print a photo, set the ICC Profile for your printer.
- Rendering Intents: Determine what characteristics of a photo will be used for color conversions.
- Apply Foxit Studio Photo Color: Supplement the quality of photos processed as batch jobs. Photos shot by a DSLR camera registered in Foxit Studio Photo will use the ICC profile for each camera mode. If a photo is not shot by a camera registered in Foxit Studio Photo, you can adjust its brightness, color and clarity.
Apply Curve
- Curve List: Display the saved curves. Select a desired curve for use.
- More: Check or modify the details of the selected curve or create a new curve.
- Delete: Delete the current curve.
Apply Unsharp Mask
- Unsharp Mask List: Display the Unsharp Mask values saved. Select the desired value for use.
- More: Display or change the settings of the selected unsharpen mask. The changed Unsharpen Mask value can be saved as the new unsharp mask setting value.
- Delete: Delete the current unsharp mask.
Start Button
All the settings are applied to the photos simultaneously.
Close Button
The Batch dialog box is closed without performing the batch job.
View log Button
You can view the detailed information of the batch job, such as working time and errors for each photo.
