Subscribers can edit a PDF file in Foxit PDF Editor with ease, including:
- Add and Edit Text Objects
- Add and Edit Image Objects
- Insert an Audio
- Insert a Video
- Create a Hyperlink
- Undo and Redo the Last Action
Add and Edit Text Objects
Add Text Objects
- Tap Edit on the toolbar at the top;
- Tap on the Edit toolbar, and then tap on the document where you want to add a new text object;
- Specify the text style in the text format toolbar, if necessary;
- Input the text, and tap Done.
Edit Text Objects
To edit existing text objects in a PDF file, please do the following:
- Tap Edit on the toolbar at the top;
- Tap on the text box you want to edit, and choose Edit;
- Place your cursor in the desired place in the text box, and then type or remove the text as desired;
- Change the text style in the text format toolbar, if necessary.
- Tap Done.
Change Text Styles
While adding or editing text objects in a PDF file, you can change the text styles including the font, size, color, alignment, etc.
- On the document pane, tap Edit on the toolbar at the top if you are not in the editing mode;
- Tap the text box, and do the following:
- To resize the text box, drag any of the handlers on the rectangle box. The text within the text box will be reflowed automatically to adapt to the adjusted text box boundaries.
- To change the style for all the text in the text box, tap Select all;
- To change the style for selected text, tap Edit, and drag to select the text;
- Tap the option in the format toolbar to change its font, size, and style. Tap to change font color and text alignment, or add bullets and numberings.
Tip: On phones, the format options are collapsed by default. You can tap the Font option to show all the format settings. - Upon completion, tap Done.
Move or Delete Text Paragraphs
- On the document pane, tap Edit on the toolbar at the top;
- Tap the text paragraph that you want to move or delete;
- To move the text paragraph, drag it directly to the desired place;
- To delete the text paragraph, tap Delete.
Add and Edit Image Objects
Add Image Objects
- Tap Edit on the toolbar at the top;
- Tap on the Edit toolbar, and then tap on the document where you want to add a new image object;
- Choose Gallery to select a photo from the photo album or choose Camera to take a photo.
The selected image will be added at the place you specified in the PDF file. You can also tap the added image object to move, resize, or rotate it as desired.
Edit Image Objects
To edit existing text objects in a PDF file, please do the following:
- On the document pane, tap Edit on the toolbar at the top;
- Tap the image you want to edit, and do any of the following:
- Drag the image to move it to the desired place;
- Drag any circle on the image border to resize the image;
- Tap Rotate to rotate the image clockwise or anticlockwise;
- Tap Replace to choose an image from the photo album or take a photo using the camera to replace the selected image;
- Tap Export to export and save the selected image;
- Tap Delete to delete the selected image.
Insert an Audio
- On the document pane, tap Edit on the toolbar at the top;
- Tap on the Edit toolbar;
- Tap on the document where you want to insert an audio file, and then do the following:
- Tap Choose Audio to select an existing audio file from your mobile device;
- Tap Record Audio to record audio.
The audio will be inserted in the place you specified. You can play the audio after exiting the editing mode. Please refer to “Play a Video or Audio” for more information.
Insert a Video
- On the document pane, tap Edit on the toolbar at the top;
- Tap on the Edit toolbar;
- Tap on the document where you want to insert a video;
- Choose one of the following options:
- From Document: Choose a video file that is uploaded in Foxit PDF Editor or saved on your Android device.
- From Album: Choose an existing video file from your album.
- Record Video: Record a video.
- The video will be inserted in the area you specified. You can play the video after exiting the editing mode. Please refer to “Play a Video or Audio” for more information.
Create a Hyperlink
Foxit PDF Editor allows subscribers to create a hyperlink in a PDF file to link to a specific page in the current PDF or a designated website.
- On the document pane, tap Edit on the toolbar at the top;
- Tapon the Edit toolbar;
- On the document, drag to select the content that you want to add the hyperlink;
- In the pop-up Settings dialog box, do the following:
- To link to a specific page in the current PDF file, input the page number in the Link to Page field, or tapto select the page from the Thumbnail window;
- To link to a designated website, input the URL address in the Link to Web field;
- Upon completion, tap Done.
After exiting the editing mode, you can tap the hyperlinked content to jump to the designated location. Please refer to “Jump to the Designated Location with Link” for more information.
Undo and Redo the Last Action
- Tap to undo the last action;
- Tap to redo the last action.
Tip: On phones, before choosing the Undo or Redo tool, you first need to tap on the toolbar at the top to access the Undo & Redo toolset.
