Effect Brush

You can partially soften, blur, darken, or lighten your photos.

Steps

To soften the rough parts

Open the photo you want to blur.
Click Edit > Effect Brush.
If the Effect Brush window does not appear, click Window > Options.
In the Effect Brush window, select the Blur tab.
In the Blur tab, set the size '50' under Size.
Move or swipe the mouse on the place where you want to blur.

Sharpen Tab

You can make the photo edge clearer and revive the 3-D effect. The blurry areas where camera focus is poor can be sharpened.

Size: Adjust the brush size. The unit is pixel.
Mode: Change the mode by selecting from the drop-down list.
Strength: adjust the degree of clarity.
Brush Shape: Display the basic information such as brush name, size, and shape. You can change the brush properties by clicking the More button.

Blur Tab

You can soften the rough parts of your photo. The facial skin or remove moire (moiré) resulting from textile material or patterns can be softened.

Size: Adjust the brush size. The unit is pixel.
Mode: Change the mode by selecting from the drop-down list.
Strength: adjust the degree of blurriness.
Brush Shape: Display the basic information such as brush name, size, and shape. You can change the brush properties by clicking the More button.

Smudge Tab

You can make the color borderline blurry. Unnatural borders or stains resulting from photo synthesis can be eliminated.

Size: Adjust the brush size. The unit is pixel.
Mode: Change the mode by selecting from the drop-down list.
Strength: adjust the degree of color borderline blurriness.
Brush Shape: Display the basic information such as brush name, size, and shape. You can change the brush properties by clicking the More button.

Dodge Tab

You can make the desired part of your photo brighter.

Size: Adjust the brush size. The unit is pixel.
Range: Set the areas to make brighter.
Exposure: Adjust the degree of brightness.
Brush Shape: Display the basic information such as brush name, size, and shape. You can change the brush properties by clicking the More button.

Burn Tab

You can make the desired part of your photo darker.

Size: Adjust the brush size. The unit is pixel.
Range: Set the areas to make darker.
Exposure: Adjust the degree of darkness.
Brush Shape: Display the basic information such as brush name, size, and shape. You can change the brush properties by clicking the More button.

Brush Shape

Diameter: Adjust or display the default size. The unit is pixel.
Hardness: Adjust the opacity of the brush edge. The default setting is [0,] and the unit is %.
Spacing: Indicate the interval of repeated brush strokes when you paint by dragging the Brush tool. If you select a brush, the default setting will be displayed and you can adjust the interval. The unit is pixel.
Roundness: Display the degree of roundness of your brush. The default setting is 100 and the unit is %.
Angle: rotate a brush. The default setting is 0 and the unit is °.

Shape Dynamics

Size Jitter: Set the degree of irregular changes of your brush.
Angle Jitter: Set the degree of irregular rotation of your brush shape.
Roundness Jitter: Set the degree of irregular distortions of the brush shape.
Flip X Jitter: Reverse the left and the right of a brush irregularly.
Flip Y Jitter: Reverse the top and the bottom of a brush irregularly.

Scattering

Scatter Jitter: Make the vertical coordinate of brush marks irregular. The unit is % of the brush size.
Count: Indicate the number of brushes displayed each time you click on it.
Count/Jitter: Make the number of brushing irregular. The unit is %.
Both Axes: Display the changes in scatter jitter vertically and horizontally.

Color Dynamics

Fore/Background Jitter: Adjust the degree of irregular changes from the foreground brush color to the background brush color.
Hue Jitter: Adjust the degree of change in the brush color tone.
Saturation Jitter: Adjust the degree of change in the brush color saturation.
Brightness Jitter: Adjust the degree of change in the brush color brightness.
Purity: Adjust the degree of change in the brush color purity.

Opacity Jitter: Adjust the degree of change in the brush opacity.
