Foxit PDF Editor is integrated with Microsoft SharePoint to help subscribers better manage and share PDF files on iOS devices.
- Add a SharePoint Server
- Open a PDF File in SharePoint Repository
- Edit the Properties of PDF File
- Check Out, Check In, and Discard Check Out
Add a SharePoint Server
- Open Foxit PDF Editor;
- Tap Files on the main interface;
- Tap Add, and choose SharePoint;
- Input the URL, username, and password to sign in.
Open a PDF File in SharePoint Repository
- Open Foxit PDF Editor;
- Tap Files on the main interface;
- Tap the SharePoint account to connect to the SharePoint server. If you haven’t added the SharePoint server in Foxit PDF Editor, please follow the steps in “Add a SharePoint Server” to add the server first.
- Navigate and find the document in the SharePoint server, and then tap the file that you want to open;
- Choose one of the following options as desired:
- Check Out and Open: Check out and open the selected file so that other users cannot modify the file at the same time;
- Open: Open the selected PDF without checking out to allow other users to modify the file while you are reading or modifying the selected file.
Edit the Properties of PDF File
While reading a file in the SharePoint server, you can edit the document properties with the following steps:
- On the document pane, tap
on the toolbar on the top;
- Choose SharePoint > Document Properties;
- Tap the property that you want to edit, and input the description as desired. While editing the description, you can tap Done on the top right corner to confirm editing, and tap
to return to the Document Properties window.
- Upon completion, tap OK on the top right corner of the Document Properties window.
Check Out, Check In, and Discard Check Out
While reading or modifying a file in the SharePoint server with Foxit PDF Editor, you can change the status, save the changes, or discard the changes as desired.
- On the document pane, tap
on the toolbar on the top;
- Choose the following option as desired:
- Check Out: Check the file out so that other users cannot modify it when you are working on it.
- Check In: Check the file back and save the file to the SharePoint repository.
- Discard Check Out: Check in the file you have currently checked out, discarding the changes you have made.
Tip: The accessibility of the SharePoint options varies according to the current status of the file.
