Foxit PDF Editor allows subscribers to view and interact with 3D models embedded in PDF documents.
Enable a 3D Model in a PDF File
By default, a 3D model embedded in a PDF file is initially displayed as a two-dimensional preview image. You can tap the 3D model in a PDF document to enable the 3D content. Once enabled, you can view and interact with the 3D model within Foxit PDF Editor.
Navigate through a 3D Model
Once you have enabled a 3D model successfully, the 3D model will be displayed in a dedicated window with a toolbar. Foxit PDF Editor allows you to move, rotate, zoom in, or zoom out of the 3D model in the dedicated 3D interaction window.
Rotate a 3D Model
To obtain a specific viewpoint of a 3D model, you can rotate it to the desired angle. To rotate a 3D model, use one finger to drag and rotate it in the desired direction.
Zoom In or Out of a 3D Model
Use the two-finger pinch gesture to zoom in or out of a 3D model. This is helpful for you to focus on specific details or get a broader perspective of the 3D model.
Move a 3D Model
Use two fingers to drag and move a 3D model in any direction. The 3D model will follow the motion of your fingers.
Undo or Redo the Last Action
When interacting with a 3D model, you can tap or
on the toolbar at the top of the 3D interaction window to undo or redo your last action.
Return to the Default View
The default view lets you quickly revert to the initial or predefined view that is set as default at any time as you work on a 3D model. If the 3D model is moved out of your view, you can return to the default view to move it back into focus.
- To return to the default view, tap
on the toolbar at the top of the 3D interaction window.
Exit the 3D Interaction Window
To exit the 3D interaction window, tap on the toolbar at the top of the 3D interaction window. This action will disable the 3D rendering and display the standard two-dimensional PDF preview.
