The toolbars usually float at the top and the bottom of the document pane. You can tap anywhere on the document to hide or show the toolbars. Please note that if you have enabled page flipping by touch, you need to tap anywhere except the left or right side of the screen to show or hide the toolbars.
About the Main Toolbar
The main toolbar locates at the top of the application window. It displays the tool tabs (the main entrances for most of the functions), icons for the frequently used operations, and an expandable section to find more options.
Tool tabs on the main toolbar are displayed differently on phones and tablets:
- On phones, only one tool tab is displayed on the main toolbar. You can tap on the tab name to find more options from the list.
- On tablets, tool tabs are displayed dynamically depending on the screen size of your device. When the tool tabs are collapsed, you can tap the expand icon next to the rightmost tool tab to find more options from the list. From the expanded tool tab list, you can find the “ON TOOLBAR” and “MORE TOOLS” groups. The items in the “ON TOOLBAR” group will be displayed on the main toolbar, while the items in the “MORE TOOLS” group will be shown as the collapsed options that can be found from the expanded tool tab list. You can drag the item in the expanded tool tab list to move a tab from one group to another or adjust its order shown on the main toolbar.
When you open a tool tab, all the related toolsets will be displayed on the secondary toolbar. If you are working with Foxit PDF Editor on tablets, you can tap and hold to drag the secondary toolbar to the desired place on the document pane.

When you are in the Full Screen mode, the main toolbar is hidden from view, while the quick access toolbars will be displayed at the top and the bottom for you to quickly view page numbers, access your favorite tools (specified in the Home tab), add a bookmark to the current page, etc. If you want to hide the quick access toolbars in the Full Screen mode, please tap Discover on the main interface > Settings, and slide the Display the top toolbar in full screen mode toggle to off.
