Integration with ChatGPT (Available in Subscription Releases)

Foxit PDF Editor’s integration with ChatGPT takes advantage of AI-Generated Content (AIGC) to make end users more productive. It provides the following capabilities:

The AI services are enabled by default. If you want to disable the feature, choose File in the Ribbon (or Foxit PDF Editor in the menu bar) > Preferences > General > Application Startup, check Disable AI Assistant, and restart the application. When the AI services are enabled, you can do any of the following to access the AI services: 

Once you have started the AI services, the AI Assistant tab will appear in the right panel of the Foxit PDF Editor window. In the AI Assistant tab, you can click the Chat sub-tab to enter text messages and chat with AI Assistant (or click the Chat about document button in the sub-tab to have a conversation specifically about the current document), choose the Translate sub-tab to translate selected text or document into corresponding languages, or click More tools to access additional tools as needed.

To help you familiarize yourself with using AI Assistant, you can click the icons located at the top right corner of the AI Assistant tab. The icons provide the following functions:

Depending on the specific AI service you are using, you may have additional options available. For example, you can click the Output Language  button to set the desired output language, and the Clear History  button to delete all the message records you previously interacted with AI Assistant. Additionally, you can specify tones (Formal, Professional, Funny, etc.) and the desired length for the output text when enhancing text writing. When performing document analysis, you can also find the following options to control over how AI Assistant analyzes the document:

Foxit PDF Editor’s AI Assistant, powered by ChatGPT, may produce inaccurate information about people, places, or facts.
