Sign PDFs with DocuSign®

Allows users to easily send, sign and save PDF documents and forms using the industry's most widely used eSignature solution.

Sign a PDF File

To sign a PDF with DocuSign, please refer to the following steps:

  • Open the PDF document you want to sign. Click the Protect tab, and choose DocuSign > Login to DocuSign. Type your Email and password for DocuSign and click Login. If you do not have an account, please sign up first.

  • After signing in, choose DocuSign > Sign with DocuSign. The application will upload your PDF to DocuSign and you will enter into the DocuSign user interface.

  • Sign the Document

On the DocuSign user interface in the PhantomPDF window, you can do the following:

o    Sign directly by adding desired fields (including Signature, Initial, Date Signed, and more) to the document. Choose a field and the cursor changes to preview the appearance of the field. Then click on the document to place the field, or click several times to place multiple fields. Click the Close button at the top right corner of a field to delete it. You can resize fields such as Signature, Initial, and Text by dragging the handles of the field box that appear when you click on the field. (Note: You should visit the DocuSign website if you want to change the Signature and Initial appearances.)

o    By using the tools at the top of the window, you can change the zoom of the file, download the file, or print the PDF with signatures visible.

o    Click FINISH and a message box pops up for you to send the signed document to others.

o    (Optional) Click OTHER OPTIONS to view history, view certificates, choose FINISH LATER to finish the signing process later, or choose PRINT & SIGN to print the document out so you can sign on paper.

  • To log out of DocuSign, choose DocuSign > Logout of DocuSign in the Protect tab.

  • To change the appearance of your signature:

²  Visit the DocuSign website (www.docusign.net).

²  Click Edit beside MY DOCUSIGN ID under the Home tab. (If you don’t have any signatures, click Create Your Signature.)

²  Then find the signature you want to change and click Edit.

²  In the Create Your Signature window, change the signature appearance as needed.

CHOOSE: select a style as your signature appearance.

DRAW: draw a signature appearance using your input device.

UPLOAD: you can upload an image as your signature appearance.

²  Click CREATE to complete the signature creation process.

Send a PDF via DocuSign

  • Open a PDF with PhantomPDF.

  • Click the Protect tab, and choose DocuSign > Send via DocuSign.

  • Log in to DocuSign.

  • Add the recipients, message, and other options as needed.

  • Then Click Send to send the PDF.
